If you have never been on a river journey in Nepal before, you are in for an amazing experience. Very little in Nepal resembles life anywhere else in the world. This is a place of deep religious customs, the most radical topography on earth, there is no better way to see Nepal than on a river trip, which by its very nature is the essence of escapism. Be warned though, once you start this journey, it may be hard to quit.

Having skilled instructors to guide participants through the journey ensures that they can make significant progress in their whitewater skills. Learning from experienced professionals will not only enhance your technical abilities but also increase your confidence and comfort on the water.

We run trips in some of the most beautiful and friendliest whitewater rivers in Nepal

 

Tentative Itinerary

Itineraries are speculative pending skills and water levels.

 

Day 1 Kathmandu

We will pick you up at the airport and rest before we meet for the full trip briefing. We’ll meet the rest of the group and go over any questions you may have.

Day 2 Upper Sunkoshi

Depart at 7:00am- Kayaking Upper sunkoshi (III+/IV) 
After few hours drive we will reach the Upper sunkoshi. This River is a tributary of the Sunkoshi River and is renowned for its challenging rapids and scenic beauty. We paddle 2 to 3 hours depending on how far we go. We will spend a night on a river side resort.

Day 3 Balefi

Today we drive for over an hour and do the classic Balephi Khola which is a boulder garden river with 3/3+ rapids to manoeuvre. Tonight will be our first river side camping on our own.

Day 4-10 Sunkoshi the river of Gold

Sunkoshi is the biggest volume and the longest commercially run river in Nepal. The riverside development and extractions have taken away part of its remoteness but still keeping its exhilarating whitewater and wilderness experience. 

Day 11 Trishuli

The overnight bus ride to central Nepal will be the longest bus ride we will do during this trip.

Trishuli is one of Nepal's most popular rivers for rafting and kayaking, known for its beautiful scenery and thrilling rapids. We will experience the thrill of whitewater one final time before concluding our adventure.

Day 12-14 Ancient Town Bandipur

Today there is an option for those who want to rest and re-energise by simply sitting, sipping beer, reading books or going on a refreshing adventure such as paragliding, Caneoning, rock climbing and authentic cultural experience etc.

Day 15 -16 Marshyangdi ‘The Ragging river”

Arriving at Marshyangdi, the day break provides a much-needed opportunity to rest, recharge, and prepare mentally and physically for the challenging boulder garden 4/4+ whitewater madness that lies ahead. 

After the river run, driving to Pokhara, the adventure hub, provides a well-deserved transition to a more leisurely phase of the trip. 

Day 17 Pokhara

Today there is an option for those who want to rest and re-energise by simply sitting, sipping beer, reading books or explore 

Day 18 - 20 kaligandaki “ The Holy river”

Kaligandaki is one of Nepal's most Fantastic rivers for non-stop play action, Named after Goddess Kali and nicknamed “The Holy River,” the Kali Gandaki rises in Mustang, an enclave of Nepal on the northern side of the Himalayas. As it tumbles down between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges, it creates one of the world’s deepest river canyons..

Day 20 – 23 Pokhara and Upperseti “ The short and sweet”

Today there is an option for those who want to rest and re-energise by simply sitting, sipping beer, reading books or explore Pokhara

this short and sweet kayaking adventure offers 1½ hours of non-stop adrenaline – filled rapids. You’ll have fantastic Annapurna Mountain views, crystal clear Himalayan whitewater, see a beautiful gorge with a suspension bridge which is decorated with prayer flags and get greetings from local children. We will experience the thrill of whitewater one final time before concluding our adventure

Day 24 Kathmandu

The final activity of the trip, heading to the Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath Stupa), offers a perfect way to culminate the adventure with a blend of spirituality and scenic beauty. The Monkey Temple, perched atop a hill, provides a stunning vantage point to witness the morning sun illuminating the bustling city of Kathmandu. 

In the afternoon you will have sometime to explore local markets and shops to find unique souvenirs and mementos to take back home. 

Day 25 Departure

Thats it! We will drop you off at the airport and look forward to welcome you once again for new adventure in the Himalayas. Wild Western Bend - Karnali kayaking and Thule Bheri.
