The Bhairav Kunda trek is a remote and lesser-known trek in the Langtang region of Nepal, leading to a holy lake called Bhairav Kunda. It passes through traditional villages, dense forests, and high mountain ridges, offering stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. The trek starts in Jalbire and climbs through terraced farmland and forests, reaching Chanaute, and then continues through Tamang villages and lush forests, approaching the holy lake.
The Bhairav Kund trek takes you to a sacred high-altitude (4200m) mountain lake named after Lord Shiva's destructive aspect. This holy site is visited by both Hindu and Buddhist devotees, especially during the Bhadra (August) Full Moon, to pay homage and cleanse themselves of sins. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Jugal Himal area, including peaks like Dorje Lakpa (6966m), Madiya (6257m), and Phurbi Ghhyachu (6637m), as well as traditional Tamang villages. It takes 10 days of trekking through the stunning Himalayan landscapes to reach the holy lake, which is considered a pilgrimage site for Shamans.

The upper body garments listed here are either synthetic or merino wool garments that retain their insulating properties when wet, or nylon or Gore-Tex layers which help prevent heat loss by cutting wind, rain, and snow.
