DESCRIPTION
As with our first aid and rescue courses, Initiative Outdoor very much takes a hands-on approach with our staff training programme. We believe that personal skills such as leadership, problem solving, communications and teamwork are best taught by example, practice and scenarios, not in a lecture classroom. Making the exercises fun creates a positive learning environment for all participants, including our course providers.
We use physical and problem oriented games and exercises to illustrate a point or discussion topic. We then facilitate a debriefing of the activity which is led by the participants themselves and encourage them to relate the lesson to their personal and professional lives. We also conduct role-play and scenarios where we relive common situations faced by the staff – these can be fully customized to meet your organization’s requirements, based on your industry and experiences to date.
We believe that we offer your organization one of the finest experiences to be found in the Himalayas. Changing the work environment opens the door to changing the way we solve problems and reach our desired goals. A company with a solid team of managers and employees is always positioned well to earn the respect that leaders in the industry deserve and will have a better edge at strengthening market share. A team building event is a safe place to test out new ideas and concepts of how to work together as a team. With our team events we believe it is important to use play and fun to illustrate the crucial nature of building teamwork and communication in the business environment.”
All our team building challenges have been designed to improve working relationships in a fun and informal way. The disciplines in each team building challenge are similar; however due to the different skills required the individuals who lead the team will differ on each challenge. Team building is the main aim of the day, but we also ensure there is an element of team competition with the announcement of the overall winning team at the conclusion of the day. This ensures that everyone will get involved.
When the day is finished and your teams stop to reflect on the day, they will realize there are people within their organization who have skills that can be implemented within the workplace.
